Established in 1885 and headquartered in Durban, South Africa, Mr Price and its various subsidiaries operate a fashion value retailer that serves men, women and children both in South Africa and internationally. There are three segments through which Mr Price operates namely Apparel, Home, Financial Services and Cellular. The product range Mr Price offers includes a variety of clothing, underwear, footwear, cosmetics, apparel, equipment and many others. Mr Price serves its customer through an omni-channel retail distribution that consists of around 1 378 corporate-owned stores and nine franchised stores in Africa.
Mr Price trades its shares on the JSE under the stock symbol MRP.JO.


The trailing 12 months (TTM) performance for Mr Price indicates revenues of $1 443 764,80 with a gross profit of $598 492,80 and operating income of $232 898,26. The EBIT reported as per the TTM is $273 734,86 and EBITDA is $380 292,78.

When viewed holistically, MRP.JO stocks have seen a substantially difficult year. The price on stocks on November 18 last year was $1 050,44 before peaking at $1 247,71 on January 16. After this, MRP.JO stocks saw a steady decrease, and the price plummeted to $672,55 on March 19. Though it increased to $712,46 on March 20, the price fell to $672,71 on March 23 following a nationwide lockdown imposed to curb the spread of Covid-19 across South Africa. Following this, MRP.JO stocks steadily increased over the next few months to peak at $970,94 on June 5, followed by a steady decrease to another low point of $750,79. On November 11, MRP.JO stocks experienced a substantial high at a price of $1 084,53, before dipping to its current price of $1 036,38 on November 18 at market close.
