The leader in blockchain-based solutions for sports, Chiliz, has announced a partnership with Orlegi Sports to launch the official Fan Tokens of Atlas FC and Club Santos Laguna on, an influence and rewards platform for the global sports community.

This partnership will see Atlas and Santos Laguna become the first Mexican clubs to launch Fan Tokens on, joining leading global organisations such as FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Atlético Madrid, Galatasaray, AS Roma and the national teams of Argentina and Portugal, who already use Fan Tokens and the app to engage with their global fanbases.

Fans of the Zorros and Guerreros will be able to use $ATLAS and $SAN Fan Tokens to participate in new activities, such as voting in binding polls on the app and taking part in fan-related decisions.

In addition to being able to influence decisions, Fan Token holders will also be able to take advantage of exclusive discounts and promotions, and win exclusive prizes and rewards, from official products to VIP experiences.

Also, fans can compete in games, competitions, and quizzes against other users, compete on global leader boards, as well as earn benefits, rewards, and experiences along the way.

In addition to the launch date, price, and supply for the $ATLAS and $SAN Fan Tokens will be announced soon.

Atlas FC, founded in 1916 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, was Liga MX champion in 1951, and has won four Copa MX titles and four Campeón de Campeones titles.

Saints Laguna, founded in Comarca Laguna in 1983, have won six Liga MX titles, one Copa MX title and another Campeonato de Campeones cup. Both clubs are run by Grupo Orlegi Sports, who also operate TB Futbol Club.

Mexican football fans rank seventh in the world, according to a Nielsen report.
