Company overview

Facebook was established in 2004 and is headquartered in Menlo Park, California. Facebook trades its shares on Nasdaq under the stock symbol FB. Facebook develops products that enable people from around the world to both connect and share a variety of media with friends and family through mobile devices, personal computers, virtual realty headsets, and in-home devices. Facebook offers an extensive product range including Facebook itself, which allows people to connect, share, discover and communicate through a variety of devices: Instagram, a community for sharing photos, videos and private messages; and Messenger and WhatsApp, both messaging applications. Oculus, a hardware, software, and developer ecosystem, is also included in Facebook’s range of products and services that allow people to come together and connect people through various virtual reality products.

Financials

Facebook’s trailing 12 month (TTM) indicates revenues of around $73 357 000, gross profit amounting to $59 944 000, and operating income of $26 562 000. Facebook’s EBIT stands on $27 408 000 and its EBITDA on $33 391 000.

Share performance YTD

When viewed holistically, FB stocks show a positive performance within the last six months, from May. However, before that, prices had decreased substantially between February and May, with an all-time yearly low of $146,01. FB prices peaked for the year at a price of $303,91 on August 26, after which it decreased somewhat before continuing to rise to a current average price of $270,69 on November 24, before market close. The long-term performance outlook on FB stocks is positive. However, a bearish pattern has recently been detected in FB chart events (price crosses moving average).
